Ive run LatencyMon which identifies the culprit as the ACPI.sys driver - which I know is related to power, specifically. Currently using ASIO4ALL in Ableton Live - which while not optimal, at least has a lower latency than the native MME/Direct. Scarlett 18i20 and new Macbook Pro 16' connections : Hi, I have a Scarlett 18i20 I bought a few years ago and am about to buy a new Macbook Pro 16 inch. Also, Waves SoundGrid Server works great - extra CPU power for running Waves plugins over low-latency ethernet. With 44,100 sample rate, and 256 sample buffer, I see an overall latency of 18 ms. Its plenty of computer for most sessions - it might struggle a bit with 4k video or something but Ableton should be a breeze.

The Apogee ONE is a 2 IN x 2 OUT USB Audio Interface/Microphone for iPad & Mac My specs are adequate for running audio - 7th gen, dual core 7th gen i7, 16gb of ram, 512 GB SSD. Im a windows user, but always carry a small audio interface because multi source ASIO doesnt really work, and the built in drivers suck dick.
